Information for specific passenger groups

Travelling without a ticket or with an invalid ticket

If a ticket inspector finds that you do not have a valid ticket, this might be for one of the following reasons:

1. You do not have a ticket or a valid ticket

You will have to pay an increased fare of € 60.

2. You have a valid ticket but you have forgotten it

If you have forgotten your personal, non-transferable ticket, you only need to pay a € 7 administration fee. You need to submit proof within one week to the transport company to which the increased fare is to be paid.

You will have to pay an increased fare of € 60 for transferable tickets.

3. The ticket machine is out of service

  • If there is another means of purchasing a ticket at the station or stop (i.e. other ticket machines or a sales counter), please use them.
  • If this is not possible, buy a ticket when you board (bus); otherwise, advise the staff or the train conductor as soon as possible that the machine is out of order.
  • Please note: Make a note of the machine number and the transport company responsible. You will find this information on the bottom edge of the machine sign.
