- Student ID as issued by the college or university administration is valid as a SemesterTicket in conjunction with official ID, passport, German driving licence or ISIC international student ID.
- Student ID can only be used as an RMV ticket when it bears a stamp or a sticker to this effect.
- Valid in the current semester for the whole of the network on all RMV modes of transport.

Other
- Laminating your SemesterTicket is not permitted.
- Text stamped onto SemesterTickets in plastic credit card format which has become illegible can be refreshed whilst still valid at a ticket validation machine. SemesterTicket holders may be asked by ticket inspectors to refresh illegible text.
