RMV HandyPortal allows you to call up timetables and local information at any time and anywhere in the RMV network area from your mobile. The address is: www.rmv.de

Calling up RMV HandyPortal is quick and intuitive and accessible from all mobile phones – regardless of whether you have a smartphone or mobile. Simply enter www.rmv.de into the browser of your mobile phone. The display will adjust automatically to the size of the screen and promises you the very best in usability, compatible with your mobile terminal.
Up-to-date timetable information
RMV HandyPortal provides you with easy-to-use timetable information with the following range of functions:
- Improved response when entering the names of stops which suggests possible stops as soon as they’re entered
- Option for selecting the mode of transport used
- Generation of disabled access transport information
- Your last travel information results are saved for future search enquiries
Local information
As well as timetable information, RMV HandyPortal also provides you with local information based on the stop you are starting from. That’s how we’re able to display precisely the information that you’re looking for on the spot. You can:
- access directly timetables and information relating to the stops where you are
- obtain travel advice and advice on special services edited for your needs
- check out our attractive offers for your leisure and entertainment
Your mobile tells you where you are
Your mobile phone can identify your position independently and automatically in a number of ways:
- Your precise position for phones with GPS receivers - this function is currently only available for the iPhone and smartphones with the Android operating system
- Your precise position using a ConTag or the QR code at the stop
- Your approximate position via public WLAN networks or mobile phone networks; this method may result in deviations of up to 2000 metres
For automatic position fixing, click on the satellite symbol after the input field for the stop you are starting out from in the timetable information screen and select “Automatic location-finding” on the menu.
You can, of course, also enter the names of places, streets and stops manually.
Fast access: ConTag and QR code
By using ConTags and QR codes, you’ll be particularly quick off the mark in accessing RMV HandyPortal services – simply at the press of a button! You’ll find ConTags and QR codes located at many stops and stations.
Access by ConTag
- Requirement: Your mobile must support NFC (Near Field Communication).
- When you tap on a ConTag with your mobile, the RMV HandyPortal on rmv.de opens automatically. The stop is then already entered as your location and you can immediately call up information about all the local area has to offer.
- When the RMV HandyTicket program is installed on your mobile phone, this opens as normal when you tap on a ConTag. RMV HandyPortal can then be called up from there using the “Timetable display” link.
- ConTags are fitted to the ticket machines or stop posts in Frankfurt and the Main-Taunus administrative district. Furthermore, ConTags are also fitted to Deutsche Bahn ticket machines and Hessische Landesbahn ticket machines at all railway stations in the RMV network area.
Access by QR code
- Requirements: Your mobile must have a camera and you need QR code recognition software. Many such QR code readers are available free of charge.
- The QR code itself is a 2D barcode which is captured using the camera of the mobile phone and contains a link to RMV HandyPortal. This starts up RMV HandyPortal.
- Your stop is then already entered as the stop you are starting from and you can immediately call up information about all the local area has to offer.
