People with corresponding physical disabilities, or with bulky luggage, prams or bicycles need this kind of information: functional escalators and lifts. The Frankfurt Transport Company and Deutsche Bahn can provide information about possible malfunctions and breakdowns, before the journey begins.

Verkehrsgesellschaft Frankfurt (VGF)

VGF displays lifts at underground and suburban railway stations, as well as stations in Frankfurt that are not in operation under Barrier-free travel - Current news / Lift status.

If a VGF lift is out of service, that will also be indicated in the travel chain calculated for you in our individual information service for barrier-free travel (only in german). Alternative connections are also listed when your travel chain is displayed, in case it is needed.

The VGF provides information about non-functioning escalators at underground stations on the page Barrier-free travel - Current messages / status escalators. Please note that the functionality of escalators is currently not taken into account in the connection display and calculation.

Deutsche Bahn (DB)

DB displays lifts at stations that are not in operation under https://www.bahnhof.de/bahnhof-de/ueberuns/innovationen/aufzuguebersicht-519204 an. Please note that the functionality of DB's lifts is currently not taken into account in the connection display and calculation.
