Airport-to-City

The following tickets are available:

• Day ticket for 1 adult: €13.50
• Group day ticket for up to 5 people: €22.50

No registration is required to purchase the ticket.

You simply provide your name and date of birth to identify yourself as the ticket holder. We also need your email address so we can send you the confirmation email of your purchase.

You can choose between Apple Pay, Google Pay, and PayPal.

Link is a payment service provided by Stripe. It appears when Apple Pay or Google Pay are not currently available on your device—for example, because you don’t have a credit or debit card saved in your Wallet. With Link, you can still make secure and convenient payments.

The ticket is valid from the time of purchase. Advance purchases for a specific date are not possible—so it’s best to buy the ticket immediately after landing.

If you don't have an internet connection, you can purchase the Ticket using the airport's free Wi-Fi.

After purchasing the ticket, you can save it to Apple Wallet or Google Wallet and access it even when you're offline.

The ticket is valid for the entire day starting immediately after purchase, until the end of service (until 5:00 a.m. the following morning).

The ticket is valid for local public transportation. This includes:

• Bahn (RB/RE) (train)
• Bus
• Straßenbahn (tram)
• S-Bahn (suburban train)
• U-Bahn (subway)

Long-distance trains such as EC, IC, ICE, or Flixtrain are excluded.

The ticket is valid for journeys between Frankfurt Airport and the city of Frankfurt, as well as for travel within the city area. You can find the respective final stops of the ticket on the map.

For connections to other cities within the RMV area, please use the RMVgo app.

You can open the ticket directly in your browser as a web ticket or save it to Apple Wallet or Google Wallet. Once saved in the wallet, you can access it even without an internet connection.

You can save the ticket in Apple Wallet or Google Wallet.

Other wallets are not currently supported.

The ticket is valid for unlimited trips within the area of validity — including the return trip to the airport, provided it takes place on the same day (until 5:00 a.m. the following morning).

If you wish to travel to the airport on a different day, you can purchase the ticket again.

Travel time may vary depending on your destination:

• To Frankfurt Central Station: approx. 15 minutes
• To Messe (trade fair grounds): approx. 20–25 minutes
• To Hauptwache: approx. 15–20 minutes

Suburban train and regional trains bound for downtown Frankfurt depart from the regional train station. This station is located in the basement of Terminal 1. Simply follow the signs for “train stations".

If you arrive at Terminal 2, take the SkyLine shuttle or the shuttle buses to Terminal 1.

Lines S8 and S9 usually depart from Platform 1 toward Frankfurt, Offenbach, and Hanau.

You can bring suitcases, backpacks, and carry-on luggage on suburban and regional trains at no extra charge. There is usually plenty of space in the general seating areas.

Tap & Go is not available in the RMV region. You can simply board the vehicle. Please show your ticket if asked to do so by the ticket inspector.
