Hesse senior citizen ticket

The Hesse senior citizen ticket is a personal annual ticket for all senior citizens above the age of 65 years. It is valid from 9.00 AM on weekdays and all day on weekends, holidays and on Hessentag throughout Hesse and Mainz and costs 379 euro for a year. The standard variant does not include any regulation for taking another person along.

  • Proof of age must be provided once before purchasing the ticket. This can be done, for example, by producing an ID card or the passport.
  • If you already have a chip card registered on "meinRMV" which includes the proof of entitlement for "65-plus", you can buy the Hesse senior citizen ticket without further verification.

    • on routes X76, 201 and 275 in the Münchenroth district of the Diethardt municipality

Automatic renewal

In some cases - in case of subscription, automatic validity renewal by 12 more months. In case of direct purchase without subscription, there will be no automatic renewal at the end of 12 months.

Hesse senior citizen comfort ticket

The comfort variant of the senior citizen ticket at the price of 649.00 euro shall be valid for the entire day on weekdays and shall entitle you to travel in the 1st class section. Apart from that, it shall be possible to take along another adult and any number of children under 15 years of age with you after 07.00 p.m. and the entire day on weekends. They do not have to be related to you.
