  • The ticket is issued digitally as a Deutschland-Ticket Semester : The student can prove their eligibility for the Deutschland-Ticket Semester by accessing the link sent by their university and displaying the ticket on their smartphone when travelling.
  • The smartphone ticket is then valid together with an official photo ID.
  • There is an alternative process for obtaining a chip card for the Deutschland-Ticket Semester for students without a smartphone or other exceptional cases.
    Details on this process and how to obtain the necessary authorisation forms can be found at your respective university/AStA.
  • Validity period: Tickets are generally valid for the duration of the semester at the respective university.
